Whether we label them long, short, good or bad, they are all invaluable and well worth the conscious effort to invest our attention on them. Nothing triggers more feelings, emotions and deeply seeded memories then relationships. How better to learn about ourselves then through interaction with other human beings.
What we admire in someone or what drives us crazy is oftentimes something that we have failed to notice in ourselves.
We all have our stories and different perspectives on things, however we all have the common need to be accepted, be appreciated and to feel like we belong.
Spiritually we are all energetically connected but on this earthly plane the illusion of separateness is very strong. We don't need relationships to complete ourselves but rather to keeps us on our toes and entice our authentic selves to the surface.
Our most important relationship is with ourselves. The more loving that relationship, the easier it is to recognize and accept other loving relationships into our lives.
So we must take the time to examine our relationships, nurture the ones that uplift us and learn from the ones that have hurt us. At the end of the day, all the money and the material items accumulated over a lifetime will not reap the same level of satisfaction on our investment than that of relationships.
